Brian "Buzz" Musgrove

Brian “Buzz” Marshall Musgrove, 74, of Columbus Junction passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.  A visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 4-7 PM at Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Columbus Junction.  Online condolences may be left for the family at sandhfuneralservice.com. Brian “Buzz” Marshall Musgrove was born on October 21, 1951 in Oskaloosa, Iowa; the son of William Musgrove and Alberta (Marshall) Vanpolen.  After high school, Buzz joined the United States Army and served for two years.  Buzz worked various jobs throughout his life and they all had one thing in common; they all involved engines or cars of some sort.  Buzz was a true “grease monkey”, if it had a motor (electric or combustion) he was going to take it apart and put it back together.  There was never a question of if he could repair what he was working on; it was the question of if he could remember how to put it back together.  The one thing he loved more than engines, was his family even when his memory was failing, he always told them he loved them.

Those left to honor Buzz’s memory are his partner of 38 years Maria; children Dawn Marie, Tomas (Anne) Torres, Travis Musgrove, Tracy (Heaven) Musgrove, and Tasha Marie Musgrove; 21 beloved grandchildren; two special nieces Carolina Ramirez and Destiny Denai De Alejandro; sister Tonya Bellon; and half-brother Billy Jay Musgrove.

He was preceded in death by his father William Musgrove; mother Alberta (Robert) Vanpolen; and siblings William Musgrove, Keith Musgrove, Jerry Musgrove, Calvin Musgrove, Anita Brady, Nadia Crook and Sue Blank.
