Brian Hall

Brian Hall, 64, of Wapello, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.  Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the First Presbyterian Church of Wapello.  The family will be present from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the church.  Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025 at the First Presbyterian Church of Wapello.  The family request all attending the visitation and memorial service to dress in casual attire as that would be Brian’s wish.  A memorial has been established for the First Presbyterian Church of Wapello in Brian's name.   Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservices.com.   Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Wapello is caring for Brian’s family and his arrangements.

Brian Scott Hall was born on May 21, 1960, in Burlington, Iowa the son of Dennis “Butch” and Kay Elaine (Holmquist) Hall.  Brian was a 1978 graduate of Wapello High School.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  In 1990, Brian was united in marriage to Kristine Wheeler in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Following high school, Brian began his working career at Oakville Feed and Grain.  He went on to work at various places including:  Levi Strauss, Hanger Clinic and the Bellagio Hotel and Casino.    He also was the owner/operator of Odessa Grille.   Brian currently was the EMA Coordinator for Louisa County.  He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wapello; where he served as an elder, and a member of the Oakville American Legion.  Brian was a certified PADI instructor for scuba diving, he was a trainer of German Shepherds, he was a jump master in sky diving, certified drone operator and was very involved with amateur radio.   While in high school Brian was very involved with Boy Scouts going all the way through Order of the Arrow, which took him on a 50-mile paddle through the Boundary Waters.  Brian enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking in his Dutch oven for family and friends, playing his banjo and riding his Harley.    

Brian will be deeply missed by his wife, Kristine of Wapello; son, Isaac Hall of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandsons, Evan and Wyatt and their mother, Annie Hall; mother, Kay Hall of Washington, Iowa; siblings, Steven (Stacy) Hall of Anamosa, Iowa, Dan (Stephanie) Hall of Tiffin, Iowa and Patti Milligan of Mesa, Arizona; father-in-law, Larry Wheeler of Krugerville, Texas; brothers-in-law, Kenny Wheeler of South Bend, Indiana and Brian Wheeler of Denton, Texas; sister-in-law, Stacy (Mark) Secor of Mesa, Arizona and many nieces and nephews.  

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Butch and his mother-in-law, Kathy Wheeler.
