Bonnie I. Swick, 89, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021, at her home in Muscatine. Private services will be held at a later date with burial in the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Bonnie’s name. Bonnie Irene Paul was born on November 19, 1931, in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Clifford “Frosty” and Gladys Anna (Hagens) Paul. She was united in marriage to Lawrence William “Sonny” Thuman on February 25, 1945. Later she married Roger Swick. Bonnie worked at HON as an assembler. She was a member of the Moose of Muscatine and enjoyed dancing, crocheting, going to the gambling boats, golfing, bowling, yardwork and decorating for the holidays.
Bonnie will be deeply missed by her children, Connie Luckow of Muscatine and Lawrence Thuman of Muscatine; five grandchildren, Jeff (Casey) Martin, Trevor (Kristina) White, Joe (Kathy) King, Phoebe (Willie) Hendricks and Crystal (Paul) Veronda; 16 great grandchildren, Samantha Martin, Tyler Martin, Natalee Martin, Madison White, CT White, Emerson White, Damion King, Mason King, Lydia King, Noah Hendricks, Nicholas Hendricks, Kaitlyn Hendricks, Blake Hendricks, Ana Veronda, Graice Veronda and Jack Veronda; one great-great grandchild, Samantha Veronda and sisters-in-law, Elsie Paul of Muscatine and Mildred “Corky” Swick of Muscatine.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two brothers, Clifford “Sparky” (Betty) Paul and Leonard Paul and two sisters, Vivian (Richard) Buster and Beverly Levis.
