Beverly Joan Morehead

Beverly Joan Morehead, 86, of Muscatine, Iowa passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at her home.  Private family services will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Muscatine Animal Shelter in Joan’s name.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine are caring for Beverly’s arrangements and her family. 

Beverly Joan Jarvis was born on December 12, 1934 in Grandview, Iowa, the daughter of Jesse Lynn and Lora Margaret (Kistner) Jarvis.  On July 3, 1952, Joan was united in marriage to Paul Morehead at the Methodist Church in Muscatine.  Joan was a member the Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing cards, her pets and spending time with her family.    

Joan will be deeply missed by her children, Cheryl (Larry) Hughes of Moline, Steve Morehead and Shawn Morehead, both of Muscatine; five grandchildren, Valerie (Brock) McConchie, Amery Longhurst, Shawn Paul Hedger, Danielle (Patrick) Dickens and Crystal Hedger; twelve great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Sam Leaver; sisters-in-laws, Dixie Morehead and Margaret Patterson and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Wendy Morehead Leaver; brother, Jesse Jarvis and sisters, Mary Baker and Anna VanDolah.
