Betty Mae (Johnson) Estabrook

Betty Estabrook, 82, of Grandview, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Service of Wapello.  Burial will follow the services at Indian Creek Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.  Memorials may be left to the family in memory of Betty. Betty Mae Johnson was born on May 7, 1939 in North English, the daughter of William and Viola (Waggoner) Johnson.  She was united in marriage to Jerry DeWitt and the couple later divorced.  Betty married Earl Estabrook and he preceded her in death in 1984.  Betty retired as the Dietary Manager at Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction.  She enjoyed fishing.  Betty loved music and was a gifted singer, guitarist and pianist.  The most important thing in Betty’s life was her family and she cherished spending time with them. 

Betty will be deeply missed by her children; Denny (Debbie) Estabrook of Nichols, Diane (Dan) Hall of Fruitland, Darla Gonzales of Muscatine, Vicky (John) Mills of Columbus Junction, Julie (Dave) Schultz of Viola, IL and Dean Estabrook of Diamond, MO; 22 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna McAllister of Parnell and Eve Riley of Muscatine and many extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl; children, Donnie DeWitt, Wanda Schrader, Sandy Quinn, Candy DeWitt and David Estabrook; grandchildren, Josh DeWitt, Jordan Reid, Jason, Reid, Eric Reid; brother, Jack Johnson and sister, Lila McAllister.
