Belle Rose (Wagner) Lough

Belle Rose Lough, 91, of Lancaster, Wisconsin, formerly of Columbus Junction, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Orchard Manor in South Lancaster, Wisconsin.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Columbus Junction.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Wagner Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Belle Rose Wagner was born on December 12, 1933, in Letts, Iowa the daughter of Phillip H. and Effie M. (Garrett) Wagner.  On April 29, 1956, Belle Rose was united in marriage to James F. Lough, Sr. in Letts and later divorced.  She worked for Sheller-Globe in Iowa City, Letica in Muscatine and Casey’s in Columbus Junction.  Belle Rose was Methodist and enjoyed Bowling, gardening, playing cards, baking and watching her favorite channel, The Food Network, but most of all, she loved to spend time with her friends and family.

Belle Rose will be deeply missed by her children, Bruce W. (Susan) Lough of Letts, James F. (Tina) Lough of Muscatine, Kyle J. (Wendi) Lough of Fredonia, Sandra K. (Mark) Wiederholt of Lancaster, Wisconsin and Elizabeth J. (Rory Ball) Lough of Stillwell, Oklahoma; 26 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren.

Belle Rose was preceded in death by her parents; son, Phillip P. Lough; great-great grandson, Zane Allbee and siblings, Paul Wagner, Geroge Wagner, Howard Wagner and Edna Mae Hackett.
