Becky Jo (Chadd) Overton

Becky Jo Overton, 50, of Wilton, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Friday, June 13, 2025 surrounded by her family.  A memorial visitation to honor her memory will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 4-7pm at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Columbus Junction; there will be a moment of remembrance at 4:30pm.  A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 12-5pm at the Columbus Junction American Legion.  Memorials in Becky’s name may be made to the Institute of Therapeutic Massage and Wellness.  Online condolences may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com

Becky was born on October 3, 1974 to Lynn and Vicky (Vanderlinden) Murphy in Burlington, Iowa.  She was united in marriage to Morrill Overton on July 26, 1997; they later divorced but remained good friends.  Becky attended The Institute of Therapeutic Massage and Wellness.  She owned Sacred Space Healing and Massage where she was both a massage therapist and a Raki Healer.  Becky loved going to the casino with her daughter Ali, spending time with her granddaughters, and hanging out with her friends.

Those left to honor her memory are her daughter Ali (Jason Nau) Overton; step-daughter Ashley (Andy) Wentz; granddaughters Kinley and Annabella; step-grandchildren: Alison, Hannah, and Lyly; parents Lynn and Ann Murphy; brother James (Carla) Chadd; step-brother David Ellsworth; step-sister Stephanie Ellsworth; sister-in-law Lisa Ellsworth; bonus children Oliva, Samantha, Kyle, Rayne, Bridgette, and Abbie; bonus grandchildren Melody, Isla, Julian, Nayelli, Millie, and Orsen; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mom Vicky; an infant grandson; maternal and paternal grandparents; and bonus daughter Gabby.
