Barbara Jo (Patterson) Williams

Barbara Jo “Barb” Williams, age 68, of Muscatine, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021 at Trinity Rock Island Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Muscatine. Barb was born December 20, 1952 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Robert L. and Janet L. (Emlett) Patterson. She graduated from North High School in Des Moines and attended the University of Iowa. Barb was united in marriage to David Williams in 1972 in Des Moines.

Barb worked for Walmart for 23 years and provided childcare while her two sons were young. She enjoyed reading, going to the movies, collecting Kate Spade and spending time with her family, particularly her granddaughters. Barb was proud of both of her sons service in the United States Marine Corps.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, David Williams of Muscatine; son, Stacy Williams and wife Katie of Muscatine; son, Kelly Williams of Muscatine; mother, Janet Patterson; granddaughters: Emily, Grace and Addison; sister, Susan Schultz and husband Gary of Mississippi; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father.
