Barbara (Cline) Schnicker

Barbara Schnicker, 82, of Mediapolis, passed away on November 7, 2023 at her home in Burlington.  The family would like to invite everyone to a Community Potluck on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Mediapolis City Hall. Please view the family invitation here

Barbara loved serving others and will continue to do so with the act of donating her body to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program. Barbara Cline was born on June 30, 1941 in Wapello, the daughter of Samuel and Frances (Walberg) Cline.  She graduated from Huron Schools.  Barbara was united in marriage to Stanley Schnicker on October 25, 1959 at the Lutheran Church in Mediapolis.  Barbara worked at Mediapolis Savings Bank for many years.  She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Mediapolis where she also taught Sunday School.  In her younger years she held many St. Jude Bike A Thon fund raisers.  Barbara enjoyed cooking and baking, often whistling in the kitchen.  She also enjoyed gardening and painting; she was big fan of Bob Ross.  Most of all, she loved being with her family. 

Barbara is survived by her children; Wendy Barbaris, Jeff (Gayla) Schnicker and Bryon (Kayleen) Schnicker, all of Mediapolis; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brother, Michael Cline and sister, Judy Best.
