Barbara Jane (Forbes) Kilburn

Barbara J. Kilburn, 84, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Accura HealthCare of Muscatine.  No funeral services or a celebration of life is planned.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Barbara.  The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for Barbara’s family and arrangements.   Sympathy notes may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Barbara Jane Forbes was born on November 1, 1941, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of William and Jesse (Syphit) Forbes.  On July 3, 1959, Barbara was united in marriage to Robert Wayne Kilburn in Muscatine.  She worked at Heinz in Muscatine.  Barbara enjoyed crossword puzzles, game shows, soap operas, drinking Pepsi and spending time with her family.

Barbara will be deeply missed by her children, Jim Kilburn, Pam (Mike Shubick) Kilburn, Cindy Bierman and Jeff (Shawn) Kilburn, all of Muscatine; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mary Lou Kilburn and Marilyn Epperly, both of Muscatine.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; grandson Bobby “Bobo” Kilburn and one brother, Sonny Forbes.
