Austin Robert Harris

Austin R. Harris, 29, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026.   A Celebration of Austin’s Life will be planned for a later time.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital in memory of Austin.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Home for Funeral & Cremation Services is caring for Austin’s family and the arrangements.

Austin Robert Harris was born on December 24, 1996 in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Dion Robert and Lesa (Purinton) Harris.  Austin was a graduate of Muscatine High School in the Class of 2015.   Austin had been employed at Musco Lighting on second shift for the past eight years and truly enjoyed every day at his job.  His favorite pastime was working on his Mustang with his brother Dakota. 

Austin is survived by his father, Dion Harris of Muscatine; grandparents, Rusty and Paula Harris of Fruitland and Jake Harris of Muscatine; half-sister, Jozlyn Harris; half-brother, Johnathan; uncle, Sam Harris and cousins, Aliza and Katelyn Harris; aunt Jelene Purintin and future-sister-in-law, Audrey Perdue all of Muscatine.

Austin was preceded in death by his mother, Lesa; half-brother, Dakota Whitlow; additional half-siblings, Ryle, Mark and Ryan; grandmother, Marquita Harris and grandparents, Rich and Penny Powell.
