April Dawn LaRue

April D. LaRue, 40, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 at her home.  A Celebration of April’s Life will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Jesus Mission Church.    Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.   Following the services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Jesus Mission Church.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for Aprils’ arrangements and the family.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

April Dawn Marsh was born on April 9, 1983 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin Dean and Jackie Sue (Hays) Brockert.  April graduated from Muscatine High School in the Class of 2002.  On May 23, 2015, April was united in marriage to Cory Lee LaRue in Muscatine.  She was a member of the Jesus Mission Church where she assisted as a Lay Minister and teaching Sunday School.  You may have seen April through the years; working at Taco Johns, K.F.C. or Walmart.  In her free time she enjoyed singing, reading, coloring, helping others and spending time with her family. 

April will be deeply missed by her husband, Cory of Muscatine; parents, Jackie  and Marvin Brockert of Muscatine; siblings, Josh (Madelyn) Brockert of San Diego, California, Christy Woodward of Muscatine, Michael Miller of Nichols, Jason Miller of Muscatine, Jacob Miller of Nichols, Marcus Miller of Aledo, Illinois and McKenzie (Trina) Hiller of Muscatine and several nieces and nephews. 

April was preceded in death by her brother, Adam Lee Marsh Brockert; maternal and paternal grandparents and paternal step-grandfather.
