She fell in love with and married John Thomas of Morning Sun, Iowa on July 23, 1971. Anna was a dispatcher for Thomas Trucking, a beloved caretaker at home and she didn't miss a game. In previous years, she also worked at the Morning Sun Locker owned by Bill and Celia McElhinney, the Morning Sun Care Center, as well as Hometown Cafe in Morning Sun. She enjoyed time with her family and friends. Anna was a member of The First United Presbyterian Church in Morning Sun. She and John loved their kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids very much. They were the apple of their eyes.

Ten grandkids and, so far, five great-grandkids were the twinkle in her eyes and her siblings, Eddie Ketchum of Morning Sun and Ellen Partin of Kirksville, MO.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Doris; brother, Larry; and husband, John, who passed in 2016.
