Ann Shepard Obituary

Ann Shepard, 67, of Wapello, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.   Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Wapello.  Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023 in Grandview Cemetery.  A memorial has been established in Ann’s name.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservices.com.  

Marguerite Ann Nell was born on October 15, 1955 in Macomb, Illinois the daughter of Donald and Wilma (Caspell) Nell.  Ann graduated from Northwestern High School in Sciota, Illinois and attended beauty school in Macomb.  On October 28, 1973, Ann was united in marriage to Dennis Shepard in Sciota.  Ann worked as a beautician for over 18 years.  She and her husband later became owners of Petro & More in Grandview. Ann greatest enjoyment was her family and especially spending time with them. 

Ann will be deeply missed by her husband, Dennis; daughter, Brandy (Greg) Crouse of Bremerton, Washington; son, Rusty (Teri) Shepard of Wapello; grandchildren, Kolton Shepard of Wapello and William and Laura Crouse of Bremerton, Washington; two step-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Kinsley and Evelyn Crouse; great-grandchildren, Greyson and Allison; siblings, Mary (Steve) Flanagan, Neda (Jamie) Swanson and Kent (Teresa) Nell, all of Illinois and sister-in-law, Carolyn Shepard of Noblesville, Indiana.   

Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws, Francis and Phyllis Shepard.
