Danny Titus

Danny Dean Titus, 87, of Muscatine passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Lutheran Living in Muscatine.  A celebration of life for Danny will be on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the First Christian Church, 700 Kindler Avenue, Muscatine.  A short service will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by lunch to be served at noon and fun with karaoke until 3:00 p.m.     A memorial has been established for the First Christian Church in Danny’s name.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine are caring for Danny’s arrangements and his family. 

Danny Dean Titus was born on September 27, 1934 in Wilton, Iowa the son of Joseph and Maude (Brei) Titus.  Danny attended school in Muscatine and also at Muscatine Community College.  On November 17, 1956, Danny was united in marriage to Norma Beatty in Muscatine.  Danny worked for over 36 years for HJ Heniz.  He was an accomplished author having published several books.  He was a member of the First Christian Church and Writer’s on The Avenue; he was a past member of the Moose.  He enjoyed wood working, fishing, reading and traveling. 

Danny will be deeply missed by his wife, Norma of Muscatine; children, Jerry Titus, Bradley (Susan) Titus of Kentucky, Twyla (Mark) Auberg of Fruitland and Tonya (Bob) Titus of Colona, Illinois; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Lucille Galler of Muscatine and Mike Titus of Texas and nieces and nephews. 

Danny was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Paul, Robert, Joseph, David, Virgil, Neil, Alice, Elsie, Mary, Leora, Ruth and Eileen.
