Carolyn Ann (Bottorff) Buster

Carolyn Buster, 88, of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Sunrise Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Winfield United Methodist Church. Burial will follow the services at Grandview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until service time on Monday at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the Winfield United Methodist Church or the National Macular Degeneration Fund in memory of Carolyn.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  The Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Carolyn’s family and arrangements.

Carolyn Ann Bottorff was born February 15, 1935, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Lou and Flossie (Davis) Bottorff.  She was a graduate of Ottumwa High School.  On June 2, 1957 she was united in marriage to George Buster.  Carolyn was the owner/manager of Luellen’s a children’s clothing store in Washington.  She was a member of the Winfield United Methodist Church, the Amitie club (the word Amitie means friendship, which was very fitting) and had coffee on Tuesdays with the Twin Lakes Golden Gals Coffee Club.  Carolyn enjoyed cooking, canning and was an avid Hawkeye Basketball and Football fan.

Carolyn will be deeply missed by her husband, George Buster of Winfield; children, Cheryl (John Kosobucki) Koyzis of Des Moines and Mark (Lisa) Buster of Urbandale; grandchildren, Adam (Christy) Buster, Brad (Cassidy) Buster and Carolyn Watson; great-grandchildren, Landyn Buster, James Watson, Evelyn Buster, Carter Buster and Brayden Buster; brothers, Vern (Linda) Bottorff and Larry (Meg) Bottorff.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Angelo Koyzis and brother, Harry Bottorff.
