Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services sponsor many events throughout the year to provide friendship, support, information and even food and entertainment to the community and those who have suffered the loss of a loved one. Following is a list of some of the main events we are involved with:

Valentine Luncheon- This event is held in February to provide the widows of our community a time to get out and enjoy a day of food, fun and laughter while being waited on hand and foot by our handsome directors.

Senior Health Fair-This is an event we sponsor, held at the Muscatine Community Y during the month of May. This event is for seniors to acquire helpful information from various businesses regarding health concerns.

Future With Confidence-This event is held yearly at Muscatine Community College. This event is sponsored by several area businesses to provide seniors with a day filled with education, information, entertainment, fun and food.

Memorial Day Services- These services are held every year on Memorial Day, rain or shine, at the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Each year we are blessed with the musical talents of Jack Carey as well as an inspirational speaker and several surprise events. In the past we've had parachuters, dove releases, flyovers and balloon releases, you'll never know what is in store for the next year!.

Bus Trips- Bus trips are taken Bi-annually, one in the spring and one in the fall. The Ramblin Roses bus tours provide camraderie for community members who want the opportunity to socialize and travel to an "interesting destination" where their everyday paths may not lead them.

Handling the Holidays- This is a one-night Support Group held in the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room. During this session we discuss ways to cope with the upcoming holiday season after the loss of a loved one. 

Candle Lighting Remembrance Services- Christmas is a time to remember loved ones. As some face this holiday after the death of a loved one, it is difficult to know how to express the love that still exists for that significant person who has been a part of their lives. Our Remembrance Service is offered to reinforce the love and memories you have of your loved one.  

MMP Tree Lighting Service- This service gives a time for families to dedicate an ornament to thier loved one that will be hung on the Memorial Park Tree throughout the holiday season.

Grief Support Groups- These groups provide a time for family members to share their loss with others and learn ways to travel through their grief process. Most of our groups are done with the help of Iowa City Hospice and are usually held twice a year.

The Compassionate Friends Support Group- The Compassionate Friends is a non-profit self help organization offering friendship and support to families who have experienced the death of a child. The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families in the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child and to provide information to help others be supportive. This group meets the second Sunday of every month at 2:00pm in teh Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room.
